Leon Lacy, Inc. started work on the Chestnut Project House last fall.
The house was built in 1887 by B. H. Oberdore and was originally a Victorian…
Sometime in the 1940’s it underwent a renovation that tore off the front porch, enclosed the side porch into an entryway, and added on kitchen, laundry room, small side porch and a back porch. Their addition of stucco transformed the look of the home into the Tudor Revival style.
Then in the early 2000’s, the house was painted white with blue trim and the owners closed off part of the side porch to install another first floor bathroom.
2016 gave the property another new owner who wishes to completely renovate the home, however has no desire for a mortgage and thus is in no immediate hurry to have all of the work done at once.
