Creating & Maintaining Your Property Should Be An Enjoyable Experience
Meet Our Team
Jim started working on local dairy farms in the area as a teenager milking cows and performing whatever duties were needed of him. After high school he spent time working at a local feed mill and began driving truck as he saw the need for CDL Class A drivers. When the opportunity arose to purchase Leon Lacy, Inc. in 1998 while he was already working for the company, he decided to take it.
Since then, Jim has worked hard to create growth within the company by expanding the services provided to the local community. Jim wears many hats in overseeing the day to day operations at Leon Lacy, Inc. He is who you will meet and talk with should you decide to inquire into a construction estimate from the company. Jim is also someone who may greet you if you stop down to the store to pick up landscaping products. Part of what he finds fulfilling in his position is his ability to work with clients at all ends of the business and see the satisfaction in their faces when the job is complete.
TJ, as you might have guessed it, is Jim's son. As a teen, he would help out on various jobs at Leon Lacy, Inc. during the summer months. After going to college and attaining a degree in Criminal Justice, TJ decided that what he really wanted to do was settle down, build a family, and help grow the company with his dad. The addition of TJ to the team took Leon Lacy, Inc. from being a business to being a family run business, and we are proud of that!
TJ is who you will likely speak with should you give us a call, or stop into the store. He is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of the office, and occasionally helps out in other areas in the company when needed. His role as office manager is vital for the continued growth and success of the company.
Equipment Operator / Concrete Mason
Steve worked for Leon Lacy, Inc. while he attended college at Alfred and attained his degree in Heavy Equipment Operation. After college he joined our team full time.
Despite the heavy equipment operation degree, Steve is also very skill when it comes to general construction projects, particularly those involving concrete. He is our go to guy for that type of work, and is in part responsible for our success in that area of the business.
John came to work for us after working on his own for years as a general contractor. While John loved being self-employed, he really enjoys the freedom and work life-balance that Leon Lacy, Inc. provides him with.
John has an Associates Degree in Construction and Engineering from Alfred, and is a great all around carpenter. He also has notable experience with stone veneer siding installation and standing seam. We are proud to have such a skilled contractor on our team.
Keith started out working in the oil fields in PA working as a mechanic. While doing that, he also took many courses on large engine repair. After being away from his hometown for so long, he decided it was time to find a more local position as a large engine mechanic and eventually found his way to Leon Lacy, Inc.
Keith is responsible for keeping our trucks and equipment up and running, manages the preventative mechanical maintenance of our equipment, and maintains the shop inventory. While Keith helps out in other areas of the company when needed, he is also working to obtain his class A CDL license.
He absolutely loves working on big rigs, so if you have one that is in need of some repair, feel free to bring it on down and see how Keith can help you out!
John came to us after spending years working on automobiles at other local shops. He has been a mechanic since he was a teenager, and loves to turn wrenches. We encourage lifelong learning here at Leon Lacy, Inc. and are proud to say that John is currently working on obtaining his Class A CDL license. Once completed it will give John the opportunity to help out in more areas of the company, assisting with bulk supply and equipment deliveries.
He works right alongside Keith in the shop and also handles any light to medium duty mechanical needs that we have. He is a great asset to the company in his versatility in helping us out in other areas should we need him.
If your truck is in need of repair, feel free to stop down and talk with John about how he can help out!
When TJ began dating his wife Ashley, she had recently gotten Oliver as a puppy. It was not long before the two became inseparable, and so did Ashley and he. Oliver turned 3 years old on February 1st.
Oliver accompanies TJ to work every day, and serves as our shop mascot, bringing smiles to our customers faces when they stop in. He is more than willing to accept a pat on the head or a scoobie snack. Oliver is very mild tempered, and children friendly as is common with the Golden Retriever breed.
So if you stop on down to the shop, remember to say hi to Oliver!
Hi there, I’m Jim (and this is my grandson, Tucker)…
